 Generally, we recommend using your full name. When most women make a registered seal while they are still single, they usually make it with only their first name. This is because if it is only the first name, there is no need to remake the registered seal after marriage. If you are ordering only the last name or first name and the name is one character, the characters will be quite large, so we recommend using seal script rather than insho style (Kissho style).

 When registering your official seal, you cannot add any characters, symbols, or decorations other than your own name.
 A registered seal will not become a registered seal until it has been registered at the local government office. If you go to register it yourself, you can have the seal registered and a certificate issued on the spot. If someone goes to register it on your behalf, it will take several days for the registration to be completed.
